December is the month of celebration in Torrevieja !
The municipal council of Torrevieja has spared no effort to make it a festive December. Not only the traditional Spanish holidays of December 6 and 8, Constitution Day and the Immaculate Conception respectively, or the end-of-year celebrations of Christmas and New Year, but also the patronal festivals in honor of the Purísima. And those celebrations last until Epiphany on January 5.The gigantic 'belén', the nativity scene that the municipality sets up under a large tent, with an entire landscape as a backdrop, is now very well known. New figures are also added this year and one gets the representation of the Caballete of the Eras de la Sal, the Church of the Inmaculada, the Temple of Herod and everything in a landscape where seagulls, sheep, shepherds, snakes and even flamingos s should not be missing.
